Holistic Homesteaders was born when 2 natural living, earthy homeschooling mamas met and bonded over a passion for health and holistic living.
Having met in an online community for homeschooling mothers, Laura and Caitlin quickly discovered a mutual love for natural health, self sufficiency and love for the land. The seed idea for Holistic Homesteaders was planted when they became stall neighbors at the local farmers market, selling handcrafted artisan goods. Eventually they decided to ditch the separate booths, join forces, and the concept for Holistic Homesteaders took root. This partnership has since flourished beyond what they could have imagined, with the addition of a brick and mortar store, a growing online presence, and strong ties to their community-centered roots.
At its core, the purpose of Holistic Homesteaders is to support and empower others to take control of their health and well being through their range of natural products and educational classes. Both Laura and Caitlin are enthusiastic supporters of knowing your food sources, caring for the land and the importance of sustainability, both in the local and larger sense.
The Holistic Homesteaders are also passionate advocates of reducing the stigma surrounding CBD oil, a natural health product that has had a powerfully positive impact on the lives of countless people living with chronic pain and other health issues. Both Caitlin and Laura have experienced the benefits of consuming CBD oil firsthand, with Caitlin’s Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, fibromyalgia, and POTS seeing significant improvements with CBD oil treatments. It is this passion that leads them to educate and inform others.
Caitlin and Laura believe that here is something immensely compelling about raising and growing your own food, and learning to use the natural resources available to make healthier, sustainable choices. In a world where consumers are starting to rebel against the large scale food and production systems that disregard health and sustainability, the Holistic Homesteaders see an opportunity to educate and empower people to live a natural, simpler life.
